The War on "War on Terrorism"
This American President, supposedly a special, elite, most powerful human being, sentient one, was quoted commenting on the recent Israeli "mistake" (or bombing) killing a high number Lebanese children on CNN superbly said: "My sympathy goes out to those who lost their lives" (imagine the Texas drawl).
Aside from my understanding him saying that because its "worldly acceptable" on camera, it presented to me a complete non-conscious moment on his part. For those who lost their lives (however applicable), such a message is way too late. Especially since, according to his declaration, life was lost so they are no longer alive, but dead. And incapable of experiencing his on wholesale sympathy.
After hearing that waste of his presidential energy, I lost my disappointment in this man deemed the most (politically & militarily) powerful human alive. Oil exec's drunk and don't even care. What an American lost. Yet, how many care to find one earth?
Encouraging news:
Later on CNN there was a Lebanese man being interviewed by a CNN journalists. The journalist held the microphone up to the disgruntled gentleman who exclaimed: "They decide to bomb us and believe we will turn into monsters like them! Acting wildly and thirsting for blood!" Then he went on to say while quickly walking away: "Here is my answer to Israel!" The clearly frustrated (an presently unpredictable) man had walked over to some blooming bush aside the road, reached into it and yanked out a couple of flower heads --complete with stems. And bolting back across pass the microphone and in camera view, he then tossed the long-stemmed reddish flowers at the entrance of the nearby hospital entryway (I believe at the feet of an Israeli man, also standing near??). "This is our response! This is what we will be! Not monsters!!" he shouted before the standing crowd. And, with teary eyes, jetted out of camera sight.
Do you see the light-bub of enlightenment glowing??
I'm telling you, it brought a good pang and healthy tears to me. "Sigh", I was so moved by that fellowman's deeply emotional conscious awareness.
Honestly, I imagined he was about to whip someone with those flower stems. Heh. But far from it, he demostrated the core solution to all the suffering and military arm-wrestling going on in the region. (I certainly hope some heads are nodding or shaking in understanding.)
The struggle is hope. It is.
As a peaceful (spiritual) warrior, it feels like war on the war on terrorism.
And one last thing. Sect'y Rice, Sect'y-Gen. Annan and the US President (along with other politically titled humans) all say they call for "a cessation of hostilities".
A cessation of hostilities. Are they really hearing themselves?
Ceasing hostilities is a deep and fairly real call of action. Think about it. Hostile actions are being called to stop.
So, what wouldn't that include?
Perhaps, a cessation of hostility from those considering themselves to be moderate. Hostility in expressions like: "terrorists", "haters of freedom", "Arab nationals", "axis of evil" and countless other propaganda-conditioning via media manipulation. Its really sick, backwards and grossly hypocritical. Such things offer no equality nor human solution.
Its as bad as nukes being made and kept by one party, but are shunned from being made and kept by another. Who would really trust or listen to such draconian hypocrisy?
LOL. Amazing, the disharmony of reasoning in the world of politics.
Our lesson implied by the gentleman mentioned earlier who tossed the bush blooms on the ground and said: "This is our response! This is what we will be! Not monsters!!" is conscious evolution on the way. A lone paradigm shift, flapping like a desperate butterfly. He is peace sowing.
Onward shift!
