Perhaps you've heard of the "New 7 Wonders of the World" vote that's in play. In place of a panel of scientific experts, the global community is being sought after to decide what goes down
in history as the next 7 wonders of the world.
In case you haven't been informed yet, the website to visit is New7wonders.com.
There you're given the opportunity to help shape the future of today's history. You're also given a couple choices of how you wish to vote.
Try not to fall prey to the over imposed favoritism and blatant advantage given to the Statue of Liberty. Although it truly stands for a novel idea, in the greater scheme of things its wonder is of no greater shine to many other marvels. But Frederic Auguste Bartholdi's skill is practically angelic, nonetheless.
I've already cast my votes. The Great Wall of China wasn't one of them. Why? Mainly because, although the wall took an unparalled amount of work, it didn't take nearly as much work for the mongols to compromise the wall and kick butt on the inner side after all that effort put into it. China still receives love from me though.
However, I will say that Phoenix's sister city, Timbuktu, was given a shot for it's miraculous wealth of its time (which started as a simple well dug by a woman named Buktu). The famous city is in the myth ranks of Shangri-La, Xanadu, and Atlantis. Hope she's a winner.

Yes, indeed. We all can vote.
Haha, The Great Wall will always be great. So many choices to make. But only seven are being given. If it were the 8 wonders of the world, the great wall would be a vote of mine. Alas the folly of 7. :)
