Muhammad Yunus: Ideas for Social Business Entrepreneurs

For those who may not have visited his site yet and read Yunus' description of how social business entrepreneurs are key to cutting poverty, here is the location: Muhammad Yunus.
Take a look at his thoughts on capitalism and social entrepreneurs at the above link. And consider the outline of how we may engage poverty wherever we do business. You'll come to see how he was able to coin the expression 'conscious capitalism'. And it may give you insight into his method of world change.
Personally, I find his ideas 'in a good direction'. But I'm convinced it will take actions way beyond the business sector to forever reduce and eliminate poverty. Yes, actions more of a spiritual nature.

Tru, I came across this myself recently and thought it very relevant in the context of the work I've been doing. As you'll see, I've linked the same article on our website at http://www.p-ced.com
You will note that we've applied Yunus's principles on microfinance linked with a social business approach to deliver a full cost recovery pilot proven over 5 years in Tomsk Russia. It's an approach we've been following as activists over the last 10 years.
Currently we're working along the same lines for a more than full cost recovery project on a major scale for Ukraine which has recently been delivered and endorsed by government as the template for MCC compact assistance from the USA.

Jeff
Thats good news, Jeff. Love hearing experiences like yours. A 'cost recovery system' is a wonderful route to take on conscious capitalism.
Thanks for sharing this info.
